Amara Meerholz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Western Carolina University. In addition to practicing residential & commercial design, Amara has a concentration in animal related design, specializing in veterinary clinics and animal shelters.
Emphasis is placed on acoustical control solutions, color theory & psychology, and creating a space that engages the community and encourages outreach.
Peer reviewed research methodology is applied to mitigate euthanasia while increasing adoption rates and enhancing quality of life.
Amara's long term vision includes:
a.) Working with shelters & rescues to transform their spaces into a mutually beneficial space for both the animals and community.
b.) Developing affordable housing for those at or near poverty levels to combat the housing crisis, fulfilling the urgent need for more subsidized housing that includes providing accessibility, sustainability, and an aestheically pleasing & functional experience to enhance the user's well-being.
c.) Creating a collaborative space for local artists/furniture manufactures to showcase innovative design for community fundraising.
